5.2. Where the User must register in order to use a service on the Website, the User shall be responsible for providing truthful and lawful information. If, as a result of registration, the User is issued with a password, the User undertakes to use it diligently and to keep it secret. Users are therefore responsible for the proper safekeeping and confidentiality of any identifiers and/or passwords supplied to them by Fomento y Actividades Hosteleras, S.L. Cookies and Local Storage
A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser. This website also uses local storage (localStorage and sessionStorage), which serves an equivalent purpose and is subject to the same legal obligations. This section sets out everything this website stores on your device, what it is for and how long it lasts.
No analytics cookie is installed until you authorise it. The first time you visit, you will see a notice with two options of equal weight, «Accept» and «Reject». Until you accept, this website downloads and runs absolutely nothing from Google; nor does it if you reject. Your decision is kept for 12 months and you may change it at any time using the button at the end of this section or the «Cookies» link in the footer of any page.
1. Strictly necessary and functional
These are required for the website and the virtual assistant to work. All are first-party (hotelgolden.net), are exempt from consent under article 22.2 of the Spanish Information Society Services Act, and none is used to identify you or for advertising purposes.
The 360° virtual tours embed a third-party viewer (3DVista) which stores technical preferences of the viewer itself in your browser. These are not used to identify you or for analytics or advertising purposes.
2. Analytics (these require your consent)
These are installed only if you click «Accept». They allow us to know how many people visit the website, which pages they look at and where they come from, for the sole purpose of improving it. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), acting as a data processor.
Some important points about these cookies:
- a) We do not use advertising or profiling cookies. Google's consent settings (Consent Mode v2) keep advertising storage, user data for advertising purposes and ad personalisation permanently denied, even when you accept analytics cookies.
- b) Google Analytics 4 does not record or store your IP address: it uses it only transiently to infer your approximate location and then discards it.
- c) The data is retained for 14 months, after which Google deletes it automatically.
- d) Google may process data outside the European Economic Area. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission recognised as providing an adequate level of protection in its decision of 10 July 2023.
- e) You can read Google's information at policies.google.com/privacy and disable Google Analytics on all websites using the opt-out add-on provided by Google itself.
3. How to change or withdraw your consent
You may withdraw your decision at any time and as easily as you gave it. Clicking the button brings back the cookie notice with both options:
You can also block or delete cookies from your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies as well may prevent parts of the website, such as the virtual assistant, from working properly.
Personal Data Protection
The processing of your personal data is governed by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and by Spanish Organic Act 3/2018 of 5 December on the Protection of Personal Data and the Guarantee of Digital Rights.

Fomento y Actividades Hosteleras, S.L. (Hotel Golden), with NIF B03787397 and registered address at Avda. Jaime I, 10, 03501 Benidorm (Alicante), Spain. You can contact us at [email protected] or by telephone on +34 965 854 812.
Why we process your data and on what legal basis
We do not take automated decisions that produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you, nor do we carry out profiling with your data.
How long we keep your data
- a) Data relating to your booking and your stay, for as long as the relationship lasts and, thereafter, blocked for the limitation periods of any legal, commercial and tax liabilities that may arise.
- b) Traveller registration data, for the period required by the applicable rules.
- c) Enquiries you send us, until they are resolved and for one further year, unless a booking arises from them.
- d) Data used for commercial communications, until you ask to be removed.
- e) Website analytics data, fourteen months.
Who we share your data with
We do not transfer your data to third parties for commercial purposes. The only parties with access to it are:
- a) The technology providers who supply services to us and act as data processors, under the contract required by article 28 GDPR: the booking engine, the web hosting and email provider, the analytics provider and the provider of the artificial intelligence model behind the virtual assistant.
- b) The financial institutions required to process payment.
- c) Public authorities and law enforcement bodies, where there is a legal obligation to supply the data.
Some of these providers are established outside the European Economic Area. In those cases the transfer relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or, failing that, on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
Virtual assistant
The website features a conversational assistant. In order to answer you, the text of your enquiry is sent to the provider of the artificial intelligence model, which acts as a data processor and does not use those conversations to train its models. Conversations are logged in pseudonymised form for service quality control. Please do not enter into the assistant any personal data that is not necessary, and under no circumstances health data, bank card details or data about other people.
Your rights
You may at any time exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and data portability, and withdraw any consent you have given, without this affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.
To exercise them, simply write to us at [email protected] or to the postal address given above, stating the right you wish to exercise and enclosing a copy of a document proving your identity. We will reply within one month.
If you consider that we have not dealt with your request properly, or that the processing of your data does not comply with the applicable rules, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid, www.aepd.es).
Accuracy of the data
You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you provide to us and undertake to notify us of any change. Fomento y Actividades Hosteleras, S.L. (Hotel Golden) reserves the right to exclude from its services any user who has provided false data, without prejudice to any other action available at law.
Confidentiality and security
Fomento y Actividades Hosteleras, S.L. (Hotel Golden) undertakes to treat your data confidentially and has adopted the appropriate technical and organisational measures, in accordance with article 32 GDPR, to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk and to prevent its alteration, loss, unauthorised processing or unauthorised access.
